Creating a Valentine Jar of Hearts was a super fun activity that required minimal work.
The idea of it was to create kindness or a little bit of love on Valentine day.
Firstly, I whipped up a few crochet hearts and placed them into jars with a little note.
Note: Distribute hearts to those you love to let them know how you feel.
Once I’d created several jars I went out and strategically placed them where they’d be sure to be found on Valentines day. (Think school entrances, shop paths…..)
I hope these little jars of love found their way into loving hands.
I got so much joy out of making these I’ve decided to do a second round again this year.
If you’d like to do something like this yourself here is a pattern to make the hearts:
Check out these awesome free printables from Yellow Bliss Road, perfect for kids to hand out to their friends or class.
How sweet are these printables by Bren Did, perfect for your child to give to their Teacher to let them know they love and appreciate them.
What about surprising your own kiddos with a bit of love with these fun ideas:
Decorate your drive whilst the kids are at school, like Frugal Family Fun Blog did, this will sure be a lovely way to arrive home. (A sweet gesture for your partner too)
Sneak in some little lunch box love notes. You can print off these free printables by I Heart Arts n Crafts.
Or finally if they’re in need of a little remind as to why you love them, be it your children, your partner, your friend, create a heart attack (it’s a good thing trust me) For full details check out Inner Child Fun.
Valentine day certainly doesn’t have to be about spending the big bucks, there are so many ways you can tell someone you love them, appreciate them, value them and whilst you don’t have to wait till Valentine day to do so, why not!
I’m going to give people a little help with my Valentine Day Jar of Hearts.
