A Wild One Party is a popular theme especially for boys turning one.
Recently, Nichola created a fun yet mature setting for her son Silas 1st birthday with the theme Wild One.
When it came to catering she created a funky grazing station on her kitchen bench top, Nichola styled this with a roll of fake turf (picked up from Bunnings) and randomly sprawled out her spread of savoury biscuits, meat and cheeses along with a variety of fruits. Some extra touches including a skull and light box titled ‘Treats for the tribe’ completed the grazing space.
Aside from this Nichola also created a party table for the sweet tooths in the crowd. Half the table was dedicated to a ‘build your own trail mix’ station. Keeping it simple she grabbed paper bags rolling down the tops to hold a variety of nuts and sweets to create the ultimate trail mix.
On the same table she placed the birthday cake, along with a donut platter and personalised chocolates.
The birthday cake was a chocolate mud cake, covered in ganache, the sides lined with chocolate to resemble bark and finished with a wooden cake topper simply stating ‘Wild One’.
The main room was styled well. With a tepee and greenery lining one corner, crates, old suitcases and natural products including skulls and garden trinkets were strategically placed throughout.
A welcome sign was placed out the front, a personalised board on the side table and a letter board on the party table with all the birthday boys stats ensured everyone knew exactly who’s birthday they were celebrating.
What a beautiful way to celebrate turning one. So many wonderful little pieces tie this whole room together.
From looking at the photos we’re sure the birthday boy had a wonderful time along with all his special guests.
